Abstract: A 3D model was formulated for wind turbine blade made of unsaturated polyester resin filled with organic montmorillonite (OMMT). Static and dynamic analysis were carried out using ProE/Mechanica, four vibration stage of the wind turbine blade were identified. The flow field during the injection molding was simulated with Moldflow software and the filling time and temperature were obtained. It was concluded that the blade would not cause resonance, even at the top of the blade where the wind was strongest. Injection molding was not suitable for the production of the blade, vacuum assisted resin transfer may be useful.
