Abstract: Taking ABS-M30, PPSF and Ultem 9085 3D printing materials as three typical cases, the plastic parts were formed through a fused deposition modeling (FDM) method, and the effect of raw materials, setting angles and printer nozzles on the mechanical properties of the parts were investigated. The results indicated that the tensile and impact strength increased at first and tended to decrease afterwards when the setting angels of printer varied from 0 ° to 90 °, and they achieved maximum values at the setting angel of 45 °. The flexural strength increased with an increase of setting angel. Moreover, the plastic parts formed by T16-type printer nozzle gained better mechanical properties than that formed by T12-type nozzle at the same position angle.
