Abstract

Abstract: The research progress of phenolic resin composite for brake linings was reviewed on its chemical and blending modification and toughening. The resin was often reinforced with carbon fiber, aramid fiber, or potassium titanate fiber. The hybrid fibers are the developing trend for the reinforcement Safety，stability, long life, environmental protection, and zero noise are the developing direction of phenolic resin composite for brake linings.
