Research on the Materials and Properties of Melamine Tableware

Abstract

Abstract: Structure and thermal stability, humidity resistance, stain resistance, and migration of formaldehyde of several tableware-resins, melamine，urea-formaldehyde, and melamine/urea-formaldehyde blends were investigated. It was found that the performance of the molding articles from melamine was much better than those from urea-formaldehyde and melamine/urea-formaldehyde blends, and melamine-coated urea-formaldehyde molding articles.
