Research progress in metal compounds with different microstructures as flame retardant synergists

Abstract

Abstract: This review paper focused on the metal compounds-based flame-retardant synergists with various specific microstructures， such as layered double hydroxides， metal-organic frameworks， core-shell structural compounds， and nanoscale metal compounds， and the applications of these synergists in polymers were reviewed. In addition， the application system based on the microstructure-synergy efficiency-synergy mechanism was prospected.
