Abstract: This article reviewed the technologic progresses in the synthetic methods and modification techniques of acrylonitrilestyreneacrylate ternary copolymer (ASA) and also introduced the current studies on modification of polycarbonate (PC)/ASA alloys including the modifications for its electrical conduction and flame retardancy. The effect of different additives on properties of the alloys was evaluated. Most of all, the applications of ASA resin and its alloy were summarized, and its prospects were looked over.
