Non-Isothermal Decomposition Kinetics of Polyamide 12

The thermal decomposition kinetics and mechanism of polyamide 12（PA12） was investigated by means of TGA at different heating rate in nitrogen atmosphere The thermal decomposition activation energy, thermal decomposition kinetics and model were obtained from Freeman Carroll method, Kissinger method, Ozawa method, Achar and Coats Redfern method The thermal decomposition activation energy and the preexponential constant of PA12 were 246.5 kJ/mol and 1014.71, respectively; the thermal decomposition mechanism of PA12 followed contraction cylinder theorem of which the differential form was f(α)=3(1-α)2/3 and the integral form was G(α)=1-(1-α)1/3.

Preparation and Property of x-PA6/GF/Boehmite Nano-composites

A new type of fillers, boehmite(BM)，was utilized in the preparation of x-PA6 based composites. As the amount of BM increased, the mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of the composite were improved When the content of BM was 15 wt%，the tensile strength， flexural strength，heat distortion temperature(HDT), and thermal conductivity of the composites were increased by 10.1 %，8.1 %，10.5 %，and 85.48 %, respectively Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that BM was well dispersed in x-PA6/GF matrix.

Study on the Irreversible Indicating Temperature Material of Ethylene Acrylic Acid Copolymer Type

An environmentally friendly irreversible temperature indicating material was prepared from a solution of ethylene acrylic acid copolymer and normal heptane at low temperature. The particle size and crystal structure of the material were tested and analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The crystallization, melting point, and melting range of the material were measured by differential scanning calorimetry The effect of the preparation process on the property of the material was discussed by the singlefactor method. Finally, the optimum composition of the experiment was determined. The initial color temperature of EAA580 was 82 ℃, the range of color temperature was 3 ℃, and the initial color temperature of EAA540 was 86 ℃, the range of color temperature was 10 ℃, the indicating temperature patch prepared by EAA580 had the characteristics such as low initial color temperature, narrow color temperature range, and high sensitivity.

Effect of Mass Fraction on Properties of Bamboo Fibers Reinforced Polycaprolactone Composites

Composites of bamboo fiber (BF) and polycaprolactone (PCL) were fabricated via hotpress process. The effect of BF on the mechanical properties, thermal stability, and melting and crystallization behavior had been studied. The mechanical properties of the composites increased first and then decreased with increasing mass fraction of BF. The impact strength, tensile strength, and the elongation at break respectively achieved the maxima of 14.64 kJ/m^2, 13.6 MPa, and 7.03 % at a BF mass fraction of 40 %. BF and PCL mutually inhibited the thermal decomposition each other. And the addition of BF decreased the melting temperature and degree of crystallinity of PCL, but increased the crystallization temperature. When the BF mass fraction was higher than 40 %, the water absorption rate of the composites rapidly increased.

Preparation of Polysulfone Containing Tung Oil Self-healing Microcapsules by Solvent Evaporation Method

Self-healing microcapsules were prepared by solvent evaporation method with polysulfone as shell, tung oil as core materials. The encapsulation parameters, including the kinds of dispersants，stirring speed, and mass ratio of core material to shell material were studied The surface morphology, particle size, shell thickness, encapsulation efficiency of microcapsules, and thermal properties were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy, thermogravimetric analyzer, and other techniques. The outer surface of the microcapsules was smooth and compact when the gelatin/PVA solution acted as dispersants, the mass ratio of core to shell was 1.3:1, stirring speed was 700 r/min, and the average particle size was about 130 μm. The microcapsules was stable at 350 ℃. Epoxy resin anticorrosive coating was prepared by using the synthesized microcapsules. Salt spray test revealed that the prepared self-healing coating exhibited an excellent corrosion resistant function.

Preparation and Properties of Polyacrylonitrile/Cotton Cellulose Films

PAN and cellulose were dissolved in a solvent of DMAc/LiCl, from which PAN/cellulose film was prepared by spin coating. The apparent viscosity of PAN/cellulose solution was measured by rotational viscometer, which was increased with increasing content of cellulose. The structure and properties of PAN/cellulose films were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and electronic universal testing machine, as well as water absorption tester. It showed that PAN and cellulose were dissolved directly without derivatization in DMAc/LiCl solvent and maintained their own crystalline structures. When the cellulose content was 2 %, the tensile strength and elongation at break of PAN/cellulose film reached a maximum value. The property of water absorption for PAN/cellulose film was improved with increasing content of cellulose.

Preparation of PP-g-GMA and Properties of PP/PA6 Blends Compatibilized with PP-g-GMA

Glycidyl methacrylate grafted polypropylene (PP-g-GMA) was prepared in an internal mixer, which was used as a compatibilizer for PP/PA6 blends.The mechanical properties and morphology of compatibilized PP/PA6 blends were investigated. The graft rate of PP-g-GMA measured with titration method was 3.35 %. The tensile strength and notched impact strength of PP/PA6/PP-g-GMA blends increased by 32.4 % and 60.4 % than neat PP/PA6 blends when the addition of PP-g-GMA was 4 wt% and 8 wt%, respectively. The interface compatibility of PP/PA6 blends was significantly enhanced while adding PP-g-GMA. It meant that PP-g-GMA was an efficient compatibilizer for PP/PA6 blends.

Research of AES/PC Blends Compatibilized by EPDM-g-MAH Copolymer

Maleic anhydride grafted EPDM (EPDM-g-MAH) was used as a compatibilizer for AES/PC (70:30) blends. When the rubber content in AES/PC blends was low, EPDM-g-MAH could reduce the size of the dispersed particle phase. When the dosage of EPDM-g-MAH was 3 phr and the rubber content of AES/PC blends was 21 %, the blends would maintain high tensile strength and high heat distortion temperature, while the notched impact strength will be nearly double.

Thermal Conductivity and Mechanical Properties of PBT/GNPs Composites

The structure of graphene nanosheets (GNPs) was studied using Raman spectroscopy, TEM, and SEM. The thermal conductivity and mechanical properties of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) with different carbon fillers (GNPs, carbon fibers, carbon black) were compared. Compared with spherical and rodlike fillers, the sheetshaped GNP resulted in a lower percolation threshold. It found that Y Agari model was in good agreement with the experimental data. Addition of 1 % GNPs made the impact, tensile, and flexural strengths of the composites increased 15 %, 9.6 %, and 16 %, respectively.

Hydro-thermal Synthesis of Lanthanum Stannate and Its Flame Retardant Effect on Poly（vinyl chloride）

Using sodium stannate and lanthanum nitrate as raw materials and sodium hydroxide solution as pH regulator, spherical like lanthanum stannate (La2Sn2O7) particles were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis method at pH values of 9, 10 and 11. The flame retardancy and tensile strength of poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) treated with the asprepared three kinds of La2Sn2O7 were studied, and the char residues of neat PVC and flame retardant PVC with the best integrate properties were compared. The result indicated that PVC sample treated with La2Sn2O7 prepared at pH=9 gave the best flame retardant and tensile properties; when the loading level of La2Sn2O7was 5 g/100 g PVC, the limited oxygen index was 30.8 %, and its tensile property was slightly higher than that of neat PVC, which formed a compact char layer with a closed porosity.

Numerical Simulation Dimensional Accuracy of the Plastic Tank Heads

ABS tank head of 2.5″-8NPSM was simulated using Moldex3D software. Based on the simulation and the effect of overall shrinkage on local structural dimension the small diameter and intermediate diameter of the mold along the axial direction were modified to meet the required accuracy. From the pouring location, along the axial direction, the small diameter and intermediate diameter of the thread structure were corrected by the equation D4=-0.0161z+69.8 and D3=-0.0134z+70.97, and thus met the requirement of accuracy.

Effects of Processing Parameters on Cardanol Grafted Polypropylene by Reactive Extrusion

Cardanol grafted polypropylene (PP-g-cardanol) was prepared by reactive extrusion in a torque rheometer. Effect of processing temperature and screw speed on grafting rate and degradation of PP was studied. The maximum grafting ratio of PP-gcardanol was 4.37 % when the processing temperature was 180 ℃ and the screw speed was 30 r/min. At the same time, the degradation of PP was decreased. The melt flow rate was 4.44 g/10 min. The stress and the viscosity of PP-g-cardanol reached the maximum at this condition.

Effects of Annealing Process on Properties of PVA/PEDOT∶POSS Blend Fibers

Poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) aqueous solution was mixed with aqueous dispersion of poly(3,4ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate)(PDOT:PSS), from which a blend fiber was prepared by wetspinning using methyl alcohol as a coagulation bath. The effect of annealing temperature and time on the property of the blend fiber were characterized by FTIR, SEM, high resistance meter, and single fiber strength tester. As the annealing temperature and time increased, the electrical conductivity, tensile strength of the fiber increased; while the elongation at break decreased, surface roughness and the number of tiny grooves.

Effect of Sorbitol Nucleating Agent on Foaming Behavior of Modified Polypropylene

Isotactic PP (iPP) was grafted with polystyrene using benzoyl peroxide (BPO) as an initiator, and simultaneously mixed with a nucleating agent ［1,3:2,4bis(p-methylbenzylidene) sorbitol; MDBS］ through melt extrusion. The effect of MDBS on the foaming behavior of the grafted PP was investigated. The styrene grafting decreased the melt flow rate of iPP and increased its melt strength. MDBS could hold the cell structure and acted as a cell nucleating agent during foaming. The cell density increased from 1.1×10^7 for neat iPP to 1.2×10^8 cells/cm3 for grafted iPP, and the suitable foaming temperature range was broadened to 150~160 ℃.

Synergistic Effect of Aluminum Hypophosphite and Zinc Stannate as Flame Retardant for Poly (1,4butylene terephthalate)

Aluminum hypophosphite (AHP) and Zinc hydroxystannat (ZHS) were synthesized through homogeneous precipitation method. And then ZHS was calcined in a muffle furnace at 300 ℃ for 3 h forming amorphous zinc stannate (ZS). AHP and ZS were used as a flame retardant for poly (1,4butylene terephthalate) (PBT). When the content of ZS was 1.4 %, limiting oxygen index increased from 21.8 % for neat PBT to 24.1 %，and UL 94 rating reached V-0. In addition, the heat release rate was decreased to 538.57 W/g from 561.40 W/g for neat PBT.

Design of Combined Cavity Injection Molds for Automobile Inner Decoration

Mold CAE technology was used in the design of combined cavity injection molds for automobile inner decoration. Using the results of flow simulation, the dimensions of gating system were optimized, the flow imbalance ratio dropped from 7 % to 1.4 %. The design of venting and cooling systems was improved through air trap and cool analysis.
