Abstract: The blends of Polystyrene/Polyamide6 compatibilized by styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene elastomer grafted with maleic anhydride were prepared by melt blending. The phase morphologies were investigated using scanning electron microscope (SEM). As the content of SEBS-g-MA increased, although the phase morphology of co-continuous PS/PA6 didn’t change, the phase size became smaller. However, when the content of SEBS-g-MA exceeded 10%, the phase size tended to larger. The reasearch on dynamic rheology found that the complex viscosity (η*), storage modulus and loss modulus became higher because of the addtion of SEBS-g-MA. That is, incorporation of SEBS-g-MA improved the viscosity and elasticity. It also indicated that the more the addtion amount of SEBS-g-MA, the smaller viscosity-elasticity rate.
