Research Progress in Toughening and Crystalline Modification of Poly(lactic acid)

Abstract:

This paper reviewed the latest research progress in the modification of poly(lactic acid) PLA for nucleation?induced crystallization, stereocomplexation, toughening and heat resistance. The effects of the chemical structure of nucleating agents, rapid stereocomplexation, reactive compatibilization and annealing technology on the physical and mechanical properties of PLA were discussed. Moreover, the applications and development of PLA were prospected.
