Application of CAE Technology in Mold Design of Car Engine Hood

摘要: 以汽车发动机罩的模具开发为例,采用计算机辅助工程(CAE)技术和流变学理论相结合的方法,设计其热流道浇注系统,模拟该汽车发动机罩的整个注塑过程,对比分析原始设计方案和优化设计方案,通过实际生产,验证其可行性,成功获得合格的产品。

Abstract: This article reported a case study on the application of CAE technology for mold design of car engine hood. The hot runner system was first designed by combination of CAE technology and rheological theory. The projects derived from the original design and optimized design was analyzed and compared through simulating the whole injection molding process of a car engine hood. The feasibility of the optimized design project was confirmed by the practical production, and the qualified products were also manufactured successfully.
